Well, there is the Berkeley parade: artcars, solar-powered skateboards, Berkeley's pink unicycle man and the two Teds in full effect!!

Sunday is the Berkeley parade, which we are hoping to make. Everyone dresses up as "Berkeley as you can be." On that note, I saw the most Berkeley character the other day on the way to work. He was on a Segway Human Transporter, which is fairly Berkeley in and of itself. But add to that the polo mallet he was holding. Yes, he was heading to his morning Segway HT polo match. Now that is Berkeley.

Here is Ted busting his Cali moves with his new Vans, pictures from Mary Jane's visit and our trip to the chilly Northern California coast.

Out in California, Little Ted got to meet big Ted. We also got some visits from the Williamsons - first we had three generations of EDWs, then Kathe and Bess, and then Lis and I headed to the Berkeley Farmer's Market - we are locals now!

Ted had two seats on the plane and was met by his two cousins Emma and Grace Hinckley when he got to the Oakland airport.

Ted had a great couple of weeks in Nashville with family and friends... and then it was off to California for his next stint.

And it was a quick 10 hours later that we all arrived safely in Nashville.

It wasn't long before we packed up the car in Durham and hit the road.

Here is Ted's blog, starting with a run through the first couple of months. Here he is fresh into this cold, bright world.
