Smith Family Vacation: Santa Barbara 2007

Ted had a wonderful first visit to Santa Barbara with the his Smith grandparents, cousins Emma and Grace, Tia Carrie, and Ramie and Jim. He had his first swim in a pool and enjoyed his first week at the beach.

Santa Monica and Santa Barbara Memorial Day 2007

Ted has his first day on the beach, at Santa Monica, with a flailing surfer Dad. Then he rocked it up at Santa Monica with Chris, Liezel and Flora, gazing longingly at Chris' beer.

Bay to Breakers 2007

Dad got Ted and Tia up EARLY in the morning to head into San Francisco to watch the crazy Bay to Breakers.






The Hinckley Girls joined us and we entered the madness for a couple of miles...at least until Emma droped her hat in the port-a-pottie and we were all way overstimulated.

Tia Carrie, Cruisin' on Foot and Preston

Tia Carrie hits the park in Orinda with Ted and the Hinckley girls. Ted threatens to walk (with a little help). Ted also got to see Auntie Robin and Preston.

Exam Week/Gradution Week with the Thetas

Study or Sleep...always the dilemma! especially when you are studying at the sorority house.


Pass in the papers, it is time to get outide and play with Ted's two favorite people...Molly and Missy.

Playdate with Adam

Nothing like a little swinging to get out Ted's saturday slump. Adam, Leigh and David take to the playground with us.

Tilden, Tartine and the Oakland Zoo

To Tilden Park in Oakland with the Coles, then Tartine with Dad, and then the Oakland Zoo with the Hinckley's...a VERY busy weekend!!!!

Marathon with Dad

Ted couldn't get enough of Tennessee, so he went back to Nashville with his Dad to run the Music City Marathon. He followed up the race with a cookout at his Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Sam's house and had lunch with Luke and Natalie the next day. Everyone on the plane said Ted was a born traveler...and agreed that his Dad was brave to run solo for four days and two cross country plane trips!!

24 Hours in Nashville

Ted packed it all into a day--early morning visit with Uncle Sam, playtime on Chickering with the Hinckley girls and lunch with Great Grandma Adele.

36 Hours in Durham

Ted went to Durham for 36 hours so his mom could meet with the Bishop. He went to church with Claire, to a brunch at Anne's, then went to the Q-Shack with Sunny, Reynolds and Grace. Emily and David were amazing hosts and Thomas and Ted had some great playdates--even one without electricity. Nice fire David!! On Monday, he went by Duke, and played with Queen Andrea while his mom had a meeting. Sadly, we had to leave before Baby Maxwell arrived.

Easter in KY/ Nashville

Ted visited Nashville with his mom and got to go clubbing (BMCC, that is) with Linda and Elise Mason. He did lunch with his Uncle Rowland and met his new friend Leland Hardcastle. He made time for a little bluegrass at Percy Warner Park Spring Festival.
